The recent Clarksville-Montgomery County Growth Summit led by the Economic Development Council was effective in cutting right to the heart of our challenges and opportunities as not only Tennessee’s fifth-largest city and one of its fastest-growing counties, but also with respect to our broader, and equally important role, as part of a joint metropolitan region.

We’ve been hammering home the vital concept of “regionalism” in this publication for years. So has a true leader of this community, Jack B. Turner, who has been talking about it everywhere he goes at the local and state levels...
