Toyota East-West Football All-Star Classic Moves to Clarksville

The 2017 Toyota East-West Football All-Star Classic will be held in Clarksville, Tennessee at Austin Peay State University’s Fortera Stadium on Friday, December 8, 2017. The All-Star Classic is organized by the Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association (TACA) and is made up of the state’s top 88 senior football players who are selected from more than 400 nominations.

 Local Visitor Spending Tops $211 Million in 2016

Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Department of Tourist Development Commissioner Kevin Triplett today announced Tennessee tourism’s direct domestic and international travel expenditures reached an all-time high of $19.3 billion in 2016, up 4.7 percent or almost $1 billion, over 2015. Spending in Montgomery County increased to $211 million, up 3.0 percent, or $6 million, over the prior year.

(Agero) is expanding its call center operation and strengthening its presence in Clarksville, with a capital investment of $2 Million and the creation of 900 jobs.
